Headshot webRachel is writer, teacher, director, and actor living in Vancouver, BC.  A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Columbia University, Rachel earned her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.  A veteran of the wild world of off-off Broadway, she loves work that is emotionally vibrant, dangerous, and sharp.

While much of her work has taken place in the deliciously dirty black box theatres of NYC, she has also appeared on the ACT mainstage in San Francisco and in the Texas and Dallas Shakespeare Festivals.  TV appearances include “Guiding Light,” “The L Word,” and “As the World Turns.”

She has instructed at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (MFA), Columbia University’s MFA Program, the Stella Adler Conservatory, the University of San Francisco, and the Public Theatre’s Shakespeare Lab.  In Vancouver, she taught voice, movement, and acting at Schoolcreative and is currently on the faculty at Van Arts and Langara’s Continuing Studies Program.

Her most recent directing project – “Oh Winnipeg!” – earned “Pick of the Fringe” in Vancouver, 2009. Current projects.
